The story behind IELTS Karo.
IELTS Karo started as a teacher-student relationship. Yasir Saeed, an IELTS instructor with a Band 8.5 score, was teaching one of his students, AbuBakar Khalid, when the two of them kept bumping into the same problem: motivated students who practised hard but had no fast, reliable way to know if they were improving. That shared frustration turned into a shared mission, to build something bigger than a classroom.
The name carries the idea. Karo means do it. The point was never to sit through more theory, it was to practise, get told the truth about where you stand, and move. As AI matured, that turned into a platform: instant, examiner-style feedback on every skill, available around the clock, with live classes kept for the moments a human teacher makes the difference.
That mission got real outside validation when IELTS Karo was selected from more than 1,200 applicant startups into the top 30 cohort of the National Incubation Center Lahore (NICL), one of Pakistan’s most prestigious startup ecosystems.
Today students in more than twenty countries prepare with IELTS Karo. The mission has not changed since day one: make serious IELTS coaching something anyone can reach.
